What is the Shindig?
The Shindig is an adult only party hosted by the WLS PTO for parents, staff, and friends. It is our single largest fundraiser during the year and a chance for all of us to connect and create community.
What does the Shindig include?
This year’s Shindig will include food, a beach bash dance party, fundraising games and a live auction. The Shindig also includes an online silent auction March 18 - 21 and a Fund-a-Need donation drive will be held online on Silent Auction Pro in the days leading up to the Shindig.
What should I wear?
Get into the island spirit with festive, beachy attire! Hawaiian shirts, sundresses, linen outfits, and sandals are perfect for the occasion. Feel free to accessorize with leis, straw hats, or anything that brings the beach bash vibes! No need to dress up—just come ready to sip, dance and have a blast! 😎🏝️ Please come however you feel comfortable.
What is the money raised used for?
Money raised at the Shindig goes right back into our school. The PTO uses the funds to pay for things like classroom supplies, school trips, teacher appreciation, and special projects. Fund-a-Need money goes directly towards a specific item. Typically, our community raises over $35,000 at the Shindig!
How can I help?
It takes a lot of work on the part of our community to pull off the Shindig. To help out, you can:

- Early Bird Pricing: $45 (available through March 7)
- Ticket sales help cover event costs and are not considered a donation.
- Sponsor a WLS Teacher/Staff! Purchase a special ticket to give WLS staff a chance to attend for free.

- Donate an auction item: If you have an item from your business, gift cards, or other items, we would love to include them in the silent auction. These can be dropped off at the office by March 8.
- Sign up to volunteer: The WLS PTO will be sending out a link to volunteer for the event closer to the Shindig. This is a great way to contribute and meet other parents at the Shindig.
